Hojicha is a roasted green tea that due to its unique roasting process turns a deep brown, has reduced a caffeine level, and becomes deep and savory instead of delicate. In powder form, this tea makes a heavy-bodied beverage and is best enjoyed as a latte, either hot or iced. Its body and woodsy, smokey flavors give it a similar mouthfeel to espresso -- sub it in to whisk yourself up a less-caffeinated but just-as-robust latte as an afternoon pick-me-up
While this tea is a powder, it is not instant! Be sure to mix well and then let the tea sit and steep for 3-5 minutes for best consistency!
