Read moreLoved for their robust flavors and versatility, black loose tea is an excellent eye-opener, comforting afternoon tea, and soothing thirst quencher. Black loose tea is produced when withered tea leaves are rolled and allowed to oxidize and dry. Exposure of the essential oils to air develops natural flavor, aroma, and color. They are enjoyed alone, with milk, sweetener or lemon, or served chilled over ice. Black tea contains about half the caffeine as a cup of coffee.
Favored in Asia, green teas are known for their health benefits and offer a wide array of flavors. They tend to be mild and delicate in flavor with fresh, vegetative qualities. Green tea is produced when withered tea leaves are pan-fried or steamed to prevent oxidation and then shaped and dried to preserve their delicate flavors. Green teas are generally served alone or with sweetener and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Lower steeping temperatures produce the best cup. A cup of green tea contains about half of the amount of caffeine as a cup of black tea.
Fruit teas or tisanes are refreshing and robust blends of dried fruits, flowers and herbs. Our fruit tisanes are wonderful hot but make delicious and beautiful iced infusions. They can be served alone or with sweetener and are all caffeine free.
White Tea is known to be one of the lightest and most delicate teas. The white tea bushes are harvested for only a few weeks in the spring and are handpicked between mid-March and early April. When plucked, the plant leaves are barely opened, and the buds are covered by fine, white hairs. These teas are highly sought-after for their delicate and delicious aroma and flavor.
Rooibos (pronounced ROY-bos), or South African red bush, produces a flavorful herbal infusion that is wonderful both hot and cold. It pairs well with a variety of ingredients to produce some of our more popular blends. Rooibos contains polyphenols and flavonoids and is caffeine-free.

When stuff like that happens, the entire family gets involved. Jenna has spent countless hours making sure this business is going in the right direction and working with the employees to be as efficient as possible. Jonathan has developed his gift for graphic design, by having this business become an outlet for his design ideas. Eden and Noah have spent more than their fair share of Saturdays helping out at the shop.
