Our Newest Launch is Unlike Any Tea We Have Offered Before!

At Hackberry, we love that we can offer an assortment of different tea types and flavor profiles. Anytime we can get our hands on new ingredients and create unique blends is a thrilling venture. It is even more exciting when the tea's flavor and aroma exceed our expectations. Our primary hope for each new tea is that our customers will find it as delicious as we do.

Our newest tea blend features a fruit flavor that we have never offered before. Banana is the star of this infusion! Even though we received customer requests to sell a banana-focused tea, we were hesitant at first since it can be a controversial ingredient. As we were planning out our new teas for the rest of the year, the idea of banana popped up, and we thought with additional ingredients, we could give it a try. And we are so glad we did!

Banana Bread Honeybush is our take on a banana nut muffin. Honeybush is the base for this blend, and although we have had honeybush mixed in with some other teas, it has never been the primary base ingredient. The flavor of honeybush is sweet and nutty, very similar to a Rooibos tea. Since it does not come from the Camellia sinensis plant, it is not considered a "true tea" and does not contain caffeine. We will probably release an educational blog post about honeybush in the future.

Since we are releasing this tea during the holiday season, we wanted to add some ingredients that would give it some warmth while balancing the sweetness of banana. Cinnamon, cocoa nibs, and chestnut flavoring were the perfect complementary ingredients and truly brought out that "freshly baked from the oven" aroma and taste. As you know, bananas can be a dominant flavor, and we were delighted with how the additional ingredients created a beautifully balanced cup. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Stay tuned for more tea promos in the upcoming weeks!
